I ordered a tea and I sat down to drink.
A nice crunchy biscuit, a break and a think.
I saw she was sitting, so wrapped-up, so blue
Her thoughts seemed apparent, but what could she do.
So clearly in mourning, her mother maybe,
A long tragic illness, now finally free;
It could be her lover, a car crash, a fight
Now all of her future’s a long sleepless night
I mused as I drank and I pitied her fate …
“I’d kill for some cake but I’m watching my weight”
