It’s rather old and somewhat large
And occupies at least a room
It lets me think that I’m in charge
While plotting doom

When Babbage thought about design
He thoughtfully used lots of brass
And so I did the same with mine
It gives it class

Each morning when the birds awake
I rise to fill the bins with coal
To start too late’s a big mistake
If speed’s your goal

As soon as water’s on the boil
I start to key the programme in
I have to spray a lot of oil
To cut the din

I’ve got three analytic frames
They calculate at lightning speed
But they’re not very good for games
If that’s your need

Computers ought to run on steam
And clank and bang the answers out
I can’t quite hear against its scream
You’ll have to shout!!!
