On the beach she bathes in moonlight in its soft seductive glare
Washed by waves that rolled across the sea from me
In her dreams she sees her lover and his taste is in the air
In my dreams on that same beach is where I’ll be

Every wave that frames her contours is my hand upon her skin
Every breath of breeze is just my gentle sigh
She is dreaming we’re together and we’re lost in perfect sin
On the beach beneath the moon and midnight sky

As her clothes are washed by waters that were washing me before
Then her shape is now revealed to all the stars
And I’m dreaming I am with her on her distant moon-washed shore
Not at home and tending many mental scars

As my lips caress her body I can taste the salty tang
Of the water of the seas within my dreams
Then we join in perfect union like immortal Yin and Yang
On the beach amid seductive mists and steams

When I spoke to her next morning I was not surprised to find
That her night had seen her sweetest sleep for years
So I told her of the image that had drifted in my mind
As I listened to the happiest of tears

For when love is shared completely then your dreams are always one
And you know that you’re together every night
And the Moon is always searching for the ways that she brings fun
To the lovers who are bathed within her light
