The rhyme I write means more to me than bread
It shows the world the other side of me
And though I claim it sets my spirit free
It’s written by the voices in my head
Before I found the way they could be led
They used to chatter almost aimlessly
And now they’re busy with my poetry
It’s written by the voices in my head
I need to write to keep my spirit fed
And need to see my words upon the screen
I smile when any one of them is seen
