I want to start to dream and know that you are there
To see you in the night, each time I close my eyes.
Then I will kiss your lips and listen for your sighs,
As deep inside my head there is a world we share.

With every breath I take I smell your lovely hair.
My fingers on your arms, my thighs against your thighs
You melt into my heart our love is no surprise
I see you in my dreams and feel you everywhere

I wish that I could still recall the dreams next day
But tender thoughts of love will always slip away

And so the days must pass without you in my arms
I have to bide my time the night will be here soon
And then again we’ll meet and I will see your charms
You are the beauty of my night, my silver moon

Author notes
An attempt at a French Sonnet, abba abba cc dede rhyme scheme in hexameter.
French sonnets can be in pentameter, but I thought I’d try to do it in
Alexandrines as that is the classical French way, as a result I have a pretty
terrible poem!!!
