My hunch

A gentle walk along the city streets
With sunlight peeking where it found a gap
I chanced to find one of the odd retreats
That make you feel you are a lucky chap

A statue that appealed to me, a man
And if you look I’m sure you will see why
Portrayed with all the skill a sculptor can
A group of ladies who are not too shy

I ate an ice-cream looking at the nudes
And they cavorted and they looked at me
I’m glad the city fathers aren’t all prudes
There would not be such lovely things to see

And as I ate I formed a sort of hunch
Most men like naked ladies with their lunch!
