Nature’s Poetry

Believers claim that beauty is divine,
Beyond the wit of man to understand,
But I can’t see life’s intricate design
As coming from some extra-worldly hand.
True beauty isn’t only in the skin
But onion-like it layers through us all,
In chemistry and formulae for spin,
In understanding why all things must fall.
By digging deep we scale the utmost heights,
Ridiculous but utterly sublime.
Immense black holes fuel Nature’s brightest lights
The smallest things dictate all space and time.
The more we know the more we get to see,
The laws we find are Nature’s poetry.
