New Worlds

I want to feel your footsteps as you walk across my mind
And nurture every seedling that you sow
I want you here beside me as I leave the past behind
And show the world that I have learnt to grow
I want to taste the music of the words you help me write
And understand the way you make me feel
To see you in the morning and to kiss you every night
How can I make these cold emotions real
I’d give you every second of the time inside my clock
And every beat that’s played upon my heart
You are the combination that has disengaged my lock
Your absence takes tranquillity apart
I see in you another world I’d never dreamed before
But now I know this world exists my duty’s to explore
