A silent shadow steals across the floor
What demons hide inside it’s chilling gloom
I’m trapped within a ghoul infested room
No other fate could terrify me more
The monster of the dark has fear in store
He visits me each night to banish sleep
I lie awake to watch the darkness creep
No other fate could terrify me more
What purposes were nights created for
They only lead to panic and despair
I see the shades and know there’s something there
No other fate could terrify me more
