No Words

There are no words to mend a broken heart
No formula to fix what shouldn’t be
When life conspires to tear itself apart
We’re left with love to save our sanity
There is no time that’s long enough to heal
A seeping wound that’s deeper than the world
There is no way to tell you how to feel
When every hope you had has been uncurled
I can’t begin to set disasters right
I cannot even know the words to say
But even in the longest blackest night
You know that there will come a time for day
Although she’s gone she’s still a part of you
The hurt is real but keep the love you knew
Author notes
Cot death must be about as painful as life can get
[ What we call cot death is I believe called crib death in North America, or
more formally “Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS)” or “Sudden Unexplained
Death in Infancy (SUDI)”. ]
