You want a riddle? Here’s an age old quicky
It isn’t really funny or profound.
“What it is that is always brown and sticky
And often found abandoned on the ground?”
I’ll wait until you’ve finished speculating
And thought of answers far from pure and clean.
There could be others that you’re contemplating
I must admit there’s others I have seen.
It’s almost time to give you the solution
I bet you’ve guessed it really isn’t hard.
The humour content’s rather Lilliputian
This sonnet’s one you really should discard.
You’re ready for the intellectual kick?
The brown and sticky object is a stick!
