Why would I think that she would feel the same
I’d be a fool to fall in love with me
Variety’s the essence of the game
A different view, another way to see.

The Chinese say a yin requires a yang
How could there be a night without a day
The sweetest fruit is better with a tang
I want to look at life another way

I shan’t despair if she can’t understand
The little things that always make me smile
But hope that she will see the other hand
Contains the dreams that make a life worthwhile

To fall in love is always bitter sweet
You need the differences to be complete

Author notes
Title changed because I had two poems called “The bigger picture”.
