One early morning

The butterscotch clouds that the dawn left behind
Two blackbirds who fight with a song
Some memories of dreaming you left in my mind
The feelings that pull me along
The sun on the treetops where leaves dance and shine
And play in the breeze as it blows
This morning unpeopled is surely all mine
I watch it and nobody knows
You whispered of nothing in words filled with fire
I felt like the ruler of all
Dissolving in puddles of heated desire
I’ll always be there for your call
In daylight the morning is dressed like a bride
But sleep is returning in drips
I wonder why Morpheus started to hide
Then remember the look on your lips
