There’s a poet who is writing down in Texas
Who can set the world alight with just a verse
With a talent that could daunt or even vex us
And sometimes just a tendency to curse
She’s a beauty who can stop a man by winking
And a poet who can write in any form
The only times she’s silent she is thinking
About another way to write a storm
There are times when I can hardly understand her
And at other times I know her every thought
There are many men who’d queue to take a gander
At any place that Tory takes her sport
She’s the puzzle and the mystery that checks us
And she’s also the most perfect rose in Texas
