A gentle word that’s whispered to a friend,
Each moment that another’s in our hearts.
A single act of kindness that can mend
A life that has been shattered into parts.
Each time you stop before a hasty word
And understand that grief will bring no gain.
The anger that is caused by what is heard
Will come back many times to cause you pain.
The world is filled by ugly acts of strife
All caused by those who do not act with care.
The greatest service you can do in life,
Is give the world true joy that all can share.
You’re bound to help all men by being kind
When love is first and foremost in your mind.
