The weather in the park was quite beguiling
When walking home from working hard all day
At seventy and sunny I was smiling
While watching all my worries waft away

The mothers and their babies slowly walking
And children swinging higher than the sky
The teenage girls are giggling and talking
Their older sisters easy on the eye

Too many summer days are grey and rainy
There’s nothing left to do but hurry home
When days aren’t black and white and rather grainy
A Kodacolor detour lets me roam
