Ponderings

I find I am frustrated that the day won’t go my way
I have to wait to see how my day went
I had an interview and want to know if I can play
But I have to wait for answers to be sent
I find it is upsetting that I cannot always write
And put down all my thoughts in perfect verse
I want to write some wonders and then go to sleep tonight
So I won’t wake up feeling any worse.
I wish that I could sort the world so everything looked good
Instead of rather knocked about and torn
I’d pick up all that’s out of place and put it where I should
And then I wouldn’t sit and feel forlorn
It’s not that life’s half bad at all, it can be quite a blast
But something sits and makes me think “SO WHAT!”
And really all the days are whizzing past me quite so fast
I ought to check how many I have got
So I’ll go off and have a bath and soak away my care
And maybe I’ll return with beaming smile
Now those are all the silly thoughts that I have got to share
So “toodle-oo” I’ll see you in a while
