Preparing for spring

In winter when the days are short
The Earth’s allowed its chance to sleep
And nature runs as she’s been taught
Preparing for the great spring leap.
The snow lies soft on frozen ground
But warm beneath, new life is found.
The snowdrop leads, soft white and small.
A lovely spring awaits us all.
