The concept was totally new
A prediction he’s made had come true
In the nation he led
Many men would lay dead
But more would have died of the flu
He said it was all idle chatter
The experts said “Mad as a hatter”
But hope against hope
Maybe doctors could cope
And dead Chinese people don’t matter
Reality breaks through at last
It’s too new to blame on the past
Maybe prospects aren’t smashing
With stock markets crashing
Better find a good scapegoat and fast!
