Can daydreams be a promise of tomorrow?
Can love arrive without a tender kiss?
Is happiness a treasure I can borrow
And who decides my life must be like this?
When life is torn can love provide a suture
And stitch two halves to make the whole again?
Can past mistakes be righted in the future
Like sunlight drying out the summer rain?
If dreams come true the answer to each question,
Is letting you get closer every day.
When dreams come true, I’ll make the bold suggestion –
That close to you is where I want to stay.
What happens to the man, do you suppose,
Who, walking in the thistles, finds a rose?
