Whatever else you’re feeling
And whoever brings you down
A friend won’t send you reeling
Or leave you with a frown
A real friend is always there for you
When life is busy kicking
And you cannot see the way
When your conscience is pricking
And you just can’t face the day
A real friend will want to care for you
You cannot ever lose a friend
Who’s a true and honest mate
They stick by you right to the end
And tell you that you’re great
A friend will always stay aware for you
So doesn’t matter if they stray
Or sometimes drive you mad
Fight for them in every way
And life won’t be too bad
Real friends are proud to share for you
