Out of work ignoring rules
Hurting friends and wrecking lives
Phoney guns and too real knives
People’s homes and people’s hopes
No-one wins and no-one copes
Looters, wreckers, lives in flames

Riots in London, sparked by the shooting of a man police were trying to arrest
for carrying a gun, which he may or may not have been doing.
But the riots aren’t anything to do with that, phone shops and high price
boutiques don’t arrest alleged gunmen.
