A million diamonds falling from the skies
And shattering like glass upon the Earth
A million smiles can greet the sweet surprise
A summer storm delivers all it’s worth

The air was black and heavier than gold
With faces longer than a winter night
But suddenly we’re young instead of old
And what we thought was wrong is clearly right

A flash across the sky and then the sound
Of ancient drums that tell of battles won
Oppressive heat no longer to be found
So lovers all around can think of fun

And I’m alone and standing in the rain
To smile and dream of loving you again
