The silver Moon is Queen until the dawn
Is heralded by that first golden ray
The future of humanity is born
When sunlight sweeps the dark of night away
To lovers though this is not how it seems
The Moon will always rule a lover’s dreams
The sky erupts in red and golden glow
As morning clouds are painted every hue
The Sun appears to put the World on show
And stars escape to hide behind the blue
But I will keep the moonlight in my heart
It holds us close when we must be apart
The day will fill with noise and urgency
While blues and golds are painted overhead
We treat our lives as some emergency
Distraction from the truth inside the head
At night the Moon restores serenity
And in your arms her light will set me free
