In famous gardens all around the World
It’s roses that the people want to see
Their nests of velvet petals tightly curled
Are natures own romantic poetry
In hedges or on lonely mountain sides
A rose provides an unexpected treat
It demonstrates the way that nature hides
The touches that can make your life complete
And lovers from the earliest of times
Have shown their hearts with roses as a gift
As Shakespeare clearly showed the world in rhymes
A rose gives any lover’s suit a lift
And every year my love of roses grows
Since I first found a perfect desert rose
