Salt beefeaters

Have you ever eaten
a salt beef bagel in Brick Lane?
There is something
extra special about it
the salt beef is thick cut
and hot
The tea, is not so good
but warm and sweet and
somehow it is just right
Then you take a walk,
twenty minutes, no less
and you are at the Thames
the Tower stands guard
and the Beefeaters
guard the tower
Saltbeefbageleaters?
Perhaps.
