Santa’s Uncle

Santa Claus is buried here!
That gravestone marks a child’s fear
Christmas would be sad and dark
Without the fat old elf to lark
Chimneys would be stacks for smoke
But for the habits of this bloke
Nothing spread around the tree
No mistletoe kisses meant for me
But do not fear this is another
They named him for his Father’s brother!
Author notes
picture prompt shows a crying child running from a headstone marked “Santa
Claus”. I know of two “Father Christmas” graves in England.
