Saved by the Bell!

I went to the fridge to get bacon
To put in the grill for my tea
But all of the bacon was taken
My life is one long tragedy
There was sausage and eggs and some chicken
But what was the good of those things
The mixture could be finger licken’
But hardly the sandwich of kings
Until I remembered the freezer
A diligent search found supplies
The fridge had been merely a teaser
For here was a treat for my eyes
My inside’s now outside the bacon
A grin is suffusing my face
And if I’m not wholly mistaken
The whole world is back in its place!
