Scattered sunlight

The golden sun caressed the clouds
The sky was painted pink
A poet in the crushing crowds
Puts it in pen and ink
And Tower Bridge across the Thames
Takes colour from the sky
The windows on the walkways, gems
To make me stand and sigh
The atmospheric evening light
Made beauty down below
I hope that I’ll find fun tonight
So I can feel the glow
