When Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band
Began to play with help from all his friends
Took Lucy In The Sky to understand
They were getting better ways to meet their ends
And fixing any hole will keep the wind
From whistling that she is leaving home
For the benefit of Mr Kite I’ve skinned
Within you and without you as a “pome”
And When I’m Sixty Four I’ll find a way
For Lovely Rita to improve my life
Good Morning love would then begin my day
A meter maid may make a perfect wife
With Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band
A day in any life is sweetly planned
Author notes
For disparate reasons I posted this as a comment on another contest …
It contains, as gently modified to fit the meter as I could all 13 songs on the
Sgt Pepper album
