Silence

The silence of the house is like a flood
Though gentle snores are seeping from above
That’s not a sound for quickening the blood
Too long ago I heard the sounds of love
The swish of nyloned leg on satin sheet
The gentle sigh as lips find naked skin
The murmur of a tactical retreat
The gasp of something happening within
The sounds of love now echo in my mind
My senses ring with passion from your words
I’ll start to dream and hope that I can find
The sort of lesson learned from bees and birds
I close my eyes and now I’m in your bed
All thoughts of sleep have vanished from my head

Well it is very late at night!
