Frozen lake beneath the snow
Hidden treasures deep below
Fishes sleep to spring brings thaw
And waves again can lap the shore
Trees outlined by frosted air
That steals the breath from those that dare
Don’t be tempted by the sight
Free of man this picture’s right
Leave this lakeside scene unsoiled
Frozen beauty quite unspoiled
