Some poets

It seems some poets cannot see
The beauty’s in the poetry
They worry more about the style
Than if it makes the reader smile
Pronunciation must be right
The dictionary is their delight
But while their accent can be seen
They do not see what words can mean
The subtleties will pass them by
A hidden message makes them cry
Some works may have a dreadful sound
But that is fine if it’s profound
They’ve never thought I must suppose
That what they’re seeking is called prose!
