Since she has taken happiness away
He has to face a future on his own
The love she gave was only his on loan
Although she’s always promised she would stay
His heart lies in the corner all alone
He thought that their relationship had grown
It seems that it was just her heartless play
He has to face a future on his own
He’d nurtured every seed that he had sown
But she has sterilised the potting tray
His heart lies in the corner all alone
He can’t forgive the cruelty she’s shown
And drowns his broken heart in Beaujolais
He has to face a future on his own
Saint Valentine does nothing to atone
Without a love on this most special day
His heart lies in the corner all alone
