I’m sad to say the weekend’s slipped away
It’s back to work all freedom out the door
Tomorrow I must face a busy day
Despite my inner-raven’s “nevermore”
There’ll be a call “The so-and-so’s not run”
The ujjit’s down the thingie’s on the fritz
You have to put their woes ahead of fun
And live your life in any place it fits
But in my heart the weekend never ends
I don’t believe in all the days between
I’m sitting down to chat with all my friends
I’m never really where they say I’m seen
And if you close your eyes you’ll find it’s true
I’m spending all my working hours with you
