I closed my eyes to fill my heart with you
But cloudy skies had washed away my dreams
You’re always there beneath unbroken blue
Where are you when the rain comes down in streams
I feel you near to me in happy times
Don’t need to look I know that you are there
You’re in the sounds of every clock that chimes
But not where there is drizzle in the air
So I must smile to bring you back to me
I know that you will never fly away
You’re absence is the key to misery
So I’ll pretend each day’s a sunny day
I’m not about to leave before the end
When sunshine means you’re next to me my friend.
