Reality lay tortured in his mind;
With twisted forms he built another world.
Insanity has miracles to find
Where inspiration hides so tightly curled.
He saw in pain a different, deeper, truth
And learned how he could put that on the page.
From innocence of uncorrupted youth
He put the sins of mankind on the stage.
To modern eyes his pieces are surreal
But they reflect a world we think we know.
What he could see has taught us how to feel,
The pains that all societies must grow.
Don’t hurry by, but take your time to see
Yourself inside his new reality!
