Tea time

There’s homemade jam and walnut bread
I baked it just for you
Red roses in the flower bed
And so I picked a few
A chocolate cake that’s iced in green
Your Birthday’s coming soon
The biggest scones I’ve ever seen
Meringues just like the moon
The sandwiches are fresh and neat
With ham and cheese and more
There’s savouries and all things sweet
And I’ve much more in store
A DVD you want to see
And books you want to read
A cosy night for your and me
With every thing we need
The night is warm lets sit outside
I’ve got some lovely wine
Or maybe we’ll curl up and hide
And count the stars that shine
It doesn’t matter what we do
This tea time’s just the start
A birthday treat for me and you
That’s sent straight from the heart.
