When a writer has a mind that’s over flowing
The richness of the verse is ever growing
Or if the writer always works away in prose
Then in these conditions they can see it grows

BUT

The writer’s greatest fear of all
The Wall
The one thing that you can’t unlock
The Block
The feeling that’s so deep and dank
The Blank

When your pen is filled with metaphor you cruise
There is always an allusion you can use
Whether rhymer blank or free,
You can take this thing from me
When you have it is there for all to see

BUT

The writer’s greatest fear of all
The Wall
The one thing that you can’t unlock
The Block
The feeling that’s so deep and dank
The Blank

There is nothing worse than staring at a page
That is sitting getting blanker by the age
So take pity on us fools,
who have fallen foul of rules
The worst of us incompetently drools

SO

The writer’s greatest fear of all
The Wall
The one thing that you can’t unlock
The Block
The feeling that’s so deep and dank
The Blank

Author notes
I don’t know why that happened, I was thinking “what shall I write” and thought
of nothing so…
