Think before you speak!

A foolish man has said an evil thing
To cut a precious lady to the quick
Picking such a twisted way to sing
Would surely make a real human sick
Never had I thought a friend could say
Words designed to cause so deep a wound
The worst of men would never act this way
But here we have a good man badly tuned
Perhaps an evil spirit drove his voice
When what was needed was an act of love
I cannot think he acted out of choice
What force could give insanity that shove
I hope next time this man will use his brain
And I will never write this way again
