This week so far has not gone well for me
I worked so hard and got no thanks at all
No milk is left so I can’t make some tea
I’ll sit and wait for better times to call
Got blamed for faults I cured but did not cause
By those who ought to know but did not think
Is this the time I’ll sharpen teeth and claws
Or look inside for answers in a drink
But no I’ll start to fix things up again
The shops have milk and friends will realise
It’s not as if my life is under strain
My problems are but small in others eyes
I now have tea with milk and so I’ll smile
The world is mine again for just a while
