Let’s hear it for corporate jollies
With barbecued steak and ice-lollies
And champers at lunchtime
Before you hit crunch time
Playing rounders and similar follies
You may have to throw eggs and catch ’em
Or build model boats and despatch ’em
The day was a pleasure
We hunted for treasure
Find answers to clues and attach ’em
Though back at the office there’s lurking
A whole heap of things that aren’t working
We’re busy team building
Relationship gilding
A much better phrase than “out shirking”
It’s back to our duties tomorrow
Which doesn’t quite fill us with sorrow
A life’s not worth living
If nobody’s giving
You days of a dream you can borrow!
