Such happiness you give me in a giggle and a sigh
There’s pleasure when I greet you and a pang to say goodbye
You say that you adore me and you know I love you too
I can’t imagine anything that isn’t changed by you
A message in the morning leaves me smiling for the day
Wherever living takes me you are never far away
Your words can leave me breathless I’m a sucker for a verse
And how I love your laughter if you ever hear me curse
So please don’t up and leave me I do not know what I’d do
If I have to face tomorrow with a little less of you
But you will live forever as a beacon in my heart
Whatever life can serve us we will never be apart
There’s more to life than meetings and of living hand in hand
Though I would die for either as I’m sure you’ll understand
But I am always happy that you’re sitting on my knee
When I close my eyes to put you into my sweet poetry
