Too Soon

Too Soon

With simple words one star outshone the Moon
And strove to be the poet of his age
His happy pen poured laughter on the page
The brightest flames are doomed to die too soon

So rare to find a literary monsoon
That spreads his charms across so wide a scene
He neatly spanned a cavernous ravine
The brightest flames are doomed to die too soon

Though he was born without a silver spoon
He rose to be a Prince of Poetry
As fine a mind as you could hope to see
The brightest flames are doomed to die too soon

With simple words one star outshone the Moon
The brightest flames are doomed to die too soon

Author notes
ForPenman a wonderful poet and a true star of AP who died too soon on 18th
December 2011

I may revise the third stanza of this echo sonnet, it isn’t quite what I want
yet …
