A single star peaked through the clouds and saw you were alone
It told the moon who offered me a ride
Across the hours of darkness in a moonbeam I was flown
To spend the hours of darkness by your side
We cuddled close to beat the cold we kissed as lovers do
You whispered gently words I could not hear
I wrapped my self around you and I told you all I knew
And all I knew was that I need you near
We did not part till morning and in truth we never will
Although the moon has carried me away
I feel you in my arms each night each day I feel you still
And that’s the way I’ll always want to stay
