Two Writes Can Make a Wrong!

I’m not a poetic inventor
But needed a form I could enter
The Limerick sonnet, my hopes ride upon it
Since I’m not a formal dissenter

The two greatest forms that I know
Combining in one simple show
For any beginner it must be a winner
It teaches you rhyme form and flow

The volta goes here I assume
A change from a smell to perfume
It should set you thinking, but this one was stinking
I’ll shoot it then find it a tomb

Now you’ve read my gibberish verse
I dare you to write something worse

Author notes
I apologise but the rules didn’t say it had to make sense

Actually I might try to write a real Limerick sonnet now I’ve thought of the
idea!
