It didn’t take long to defeat ’em
We sent our best bowlers to meet ’em
When their wishes were granted
The Barmies all chanted
Their heroes then charged off to greet ’em
An innings and plenty three times
We’ve beaten the steepest of climes
For too many years
We heard Aussie cheers
And now they must pay for their crimes
We’ve murdered our hosts in The Ashes
The greatest of cricketing clashes
Now we must make plenty
And win Twenty20
Then all of the daft one-day bashes
