There’s all sorts of luck, some that’s good some that’s bad,
Like losing your keys or your Dad going mad.
There’s lottery winning, there’s losing at cards,
There’s finding a pound, or a Ming vase in shards.
Some people are lucky, they win things in draws,
And cats don’t fall sideways, they land on their paws.
I’ve sampled the worst sort, it’s left me in tears,
And watched my team win after losing for years!
But throw out the past now, I’m starting anew,
Dame Fortune is smiling, she’s given me you!
