The great phantasmagoria
The two of us were treated to
Was far too much for Gloria
She isn’t half as nice as you
The prestidigitator’s art
Brought ripples of applause on cue
But Gloria can’t have my heart
She isn’t half as nice as you
The impresarios may boast
That all their acts are fresh and new
But Gloria is not my toast
She isn’t half as nice as you
The great phantasmagoria
She isn’t half as nice as you

Whoops make that two! I was falling asleep in the bath and counted six
syllables in impresarios.
It’s a Kyrielle sonnet, I really wanted an eight syllable word, but it had to
be iambic too and I couldn’t think of one off hand …
