With poetry the greatest hope of man,
There is no need to put your thoughts in prose,
Rely on rhyme and meter where you can.
Philosophers and scientists who plan,
Think verse the best solution to propose,
With poetry the greatest hope of man.
The way to put your case with great elan,
Is used by every clever man who knows,
Rely on rhyme and meter where you can.
If you want to overturn a ban.
You need to find a way your story glows.
With poetry the greatest hope of man.
In Europe, USA or in Japan,
To show the way your knowledge always grows,
Rely on rhyme and meter where you can.
If your ideas the best since time began.
To make quite sure your erudition shows
Rely on rhyme and meter where you can,
With poetry the greatest hope of man.
Author notes
OK it started out as a rather grander idea than the execution, but I throw it
on the mercy of the judge. The only way to improve is to practice, and after
that BOY do I need to practice!
